ABOUT O'NEILL'S TYRES
Since 1972, O’Neill’s Tyres has been proudly serving the Maitland community with trusted tyre and automotive services. The business was originally founded by Jim O’Neill as Maitland Tyre Market, with the goal of being at the forefront of automotive care in the region. Operating from the original site at 61 Melbourne Street, East Maitland, the workshop quickly built a reputation for reliable service and honest advice.
Over time, the business evolved and was rebranded as O’Neill’s Tyres, expanding beyond tyres into a full automotive workshop capable of handling a wide range of mechanical repairs and vehicle maintenance. What began as a tyre specialist grew into a comprehensive service centre for drivers across the Maitland area.
The business later came under the ownership of Steve O’Neill, who continued building the company’s reputation for quality workmanship and customer care. Following Steve’s passing in December 2024, the business continues to be proudly operated by the O’Neill family, with Bronwyn O’Neill and third-generation sons Bradley and Jarrod O’Neill working in the business daily to carry forward the family legacy.
Today, O’Neill’s Tyres operates two locations:

● Rutherford – opened in
1999
Together, the workshops provide expert servicing for passenger vehicles, 4WDs, and light commercial vehicles.
Both workshops are equipped with
high-end diagnostic and tyre equipment, including market-leading alignment and balancing technology, regularly calibrated tools, and one of the
largest tyre inventories in the local area. This allows the team to deliver fast, efficient service without compromising on quality.
O’Neill’s Tyres also maintains strong ties to the local community, proudly supporting many local sporting and charity organisations.
More than five decades after opening its doors, O’Neill’s Tyres remains committed to the same principle it was founded on — helping local drivers stay safe on the road with honest advice, fair pricing and quality workmanship.
The goal is simple: when customers visit O’Neill’s Tyres, they leave knowing their vehicle has been looked after properly by a team they can trust.
